The Planet servers in Dallas, Texas
Current
network consists of 1 Gig-E Fiber Yipes connection
and 3 HE 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet Drops running the
BGP4
protocol. Combined with The Planets' backbone border
routers (Juniper M20's) and fully redundant switching
layer comprised of a certified design of Cisco 6500
series switches designed for maximum performance and
uptime availability.
Fortress
ITX servers in Clifton, New Jersey
FortressITX
currently uses MCI and Above.net as its backbone providers,
and is adding Level3 and Global Crossing in the near
future. DedicatedNOW offers fast, reliable connectivity
to the internet via an MCI OC48 Full Sonnet Ring with
the additon of dual OC192's in the upcoming future.
The new datacenter has been carefully planned from
inception to overcompensate for such factors as cooling,
generators, UPS's, backup generators, fire suppression,
and much, much more. The new facility has been set
in place with raised flooring, 20 ton AC units and
double pre-action fire suppression system.
All servers in both datacenters are monitored 24/7
and have on site contracted staff around the clock
to fix any problems that may arise with hardware,
software or the network. Server data images are created
daily for quick restorations, as well as daily account
backups.
